When painting this I was experimenting with color and the way color affects the mood of a painting. The innocence of the child in the foreground is off set by the sexuality of the dancers in the background. The child is being displayed on stage as well as the dancers to compare how innocence is sometimes as sexually appealing as provocativeness.
